SECCA provides specialist counselling and education in the area of human relationships and sexuality to people who have a disability, their family and significant carers. All of our Therapists (Counsellors) are tertiary trained and have extensive experience in both sexuality and disability issues. Counselling is conducted on a one-to-one basis, allowing the Therapist (Counsellor) to tailor-make sessions specifically to suit the needs, age and ability of the individual.

We have recently made changes to our counselling services as we are no longer funded to offer all counselling for no fee.

Counselling under an NDIS Plan

We are registered to provide counselling under NDIS and to access counselling through your Plan please complete the Make a Referral form so we can arrange a Schedule of Supports and Service Agreement.

Short Care Counselling

We also provide Short Care Counselling which is available to those who are not eligible for a Plan or do not have counselling available in their current NDIS Plan.  Short Care Counselling is funded to offer clients up to 3 free counselling sessions. During these sessions any further counselling needs will be assessed.   Please note any further counselling with SECCA is not funded. To access Short Care Counselling please complete the Make a Referral form.

To complete a referral form online by selecting "Make a Referral" on SECCA's home page.  Processing cannot proceed without a completed referral. Note: a medical referral is not required.
