secca’s mission is to provide a tailored, flexible and responsive service to those individuals with disabilities, their families, carers, and anyone else dealing with the issues of sexuality, relationships and sexual health

secca supports state, national and international legislation which has emerged to support the rights of people with disability – namely
- UN Declaration of the Rights of Disabled Persons (1975)
- Disability Services Act (Commonwealth 1986)
- Guardianship & Administration Act (WA 1990)
- Disability Reform Package (Commonwealth 1992)
- Disability Discrimination Act (Commonwealth 1993)
- Disability Services Act (WA 1993)
The fundamental premise of these documents is that people with disability are to be treated in the same way as people without disability -
- To receive the same respect for their human worth and dignity
- To realize their individual capacity for physical, social, emotional and intellectual development o To attain an acceptable quality of life
- To participate in decisions which affect their life
- To receive the least restrictive alternative in the service they receive
- To pursue a grievance in relation to the service they receive
