Customised Workshops
secca is a small non-profit, non government organisation that provides education, counselling and consultancy for people with disabilities. Our education services are designed to be flexible and tailored in order to best meet the needs of our clients. To this end, it is necessary to follow certain procedures to ensure that our high standard of service delivery is maintained.
secca Responsibilities:
secca is only responsible for facilitating education/training sessions. All additional considerations are the responsibility of the booking organisation. Education staff are part-time employees of secca, therefore booking sessions needs to be discussed well in advance to ensure that all parties are available ie. not already booked, are available to travel? etc.
Booking Organisation’s Responsibilities:
- Pre-workshop discussion with secca facilitators to include:
- education session topic
- anticipated audience
- group size
- Date, time and duration of workshop confirmed with secca facilitators.
- Venue booking confirmed (inclusive of appropriate equipment ie. Data projector, TV, VCR, whiteboard) prior to designated workshop date, facilitators informed.
- Fee for venue.
- Confirmation of workshop participant numbers expected in each session prior to designated workshop date, facilitators informed.
- Advertising/flyer development (secca logo available if required)
- Video Conferencing facilities booked at both sites, if applicable
Additional session provisions to consider
- Appropriate catering organised and paid for prior to designated workshop date (as required).
- Tea/Coffee facilities
- Venue heating/cooling as appropriate
- Emergency name and contact to be provided to secca facilitators prior to designated workshop date.
- Development of comprehensive participant information packs/workbooks, if required (resources are available from secca, this can also be discussed with facilitators)
secca fee structure
We are funded by two separate government bodies. Under our contractual agreements, this funding is already dedicated, therefore any additional education sessions will incur a fee. To continue to provide accessible services for all, fees can be negotiated with secca’s Co-Managers.
- Fee deposit (25% non-refundable) at time of booking.
- Remainder of fee due after session delivery, payable within 7 – 14 days of receipt of invoice.
- Any facilitator mileage, travel, accommodation and other costs incurred will be itemised on invoice and included in the total fee (these costs will be discussed discussed prior to booking session).
Please contact secca’s Co-Manager Amanda Negus for further information about training.
